Skinners

Skinners: The Revolution in Footwear from the Czech Republic

The original product of the Czech brand Skinners was their unique "sock-shoes," a concept that eventually paved the way for their high-quality barefoot footwear.

How the Sock-Shoe Was Born

The story began in Norway, where founder Petr Procházka was working during his studies. During a hike with friends, one participant ended up walking in just socks because his boots were chafing. While the socks were incredibly comfortable, they lacked durability. This sparked a brilliant idea.

Upon his return, Petr and his girlfriend began developing Skinners—compact, lightweight, comfortable, and non-slip yet highly durable footwear. They are proudly manufactured in the Czech Republic using a unique zero-waste technology, the finest Italian fibers, and abrasion-resistant Swedish polymers. Best of all? They are fully machine washable.

Why Choose Skinners?

Skinners are experiencing a massive global boom for several key reasons:

  • Universal Use: Perfect for water sports, hiking, as indoor shoes for home or school, and as "emergency" footwear for cyclists or inline skaters.
  • Extreme Durability: Designed not to wear through or be easily punctured, providing excellent protection for your feet.
  • The Perfect Compromise: They offer a modern, sporty-elegant design while giving your feet the natural space and freedom they need.
  • Ultra-Portable: Simply roll them up and tuck them into your pocket or backpack—they take up almost no space.
